I recently attended the premiere of the new Disney classic called "Runts to the Rescue". The story begins with a group of unloved, unhappy runt dogs who leave their homes looking for a better life. The dogs meet up in Central Park and form a strong bond with one another. They plan to run away to a friendlier city when they come across a scared, lost, little boy named Jack. The dogs discover Jack at the park in New York. The dogs are worried about this small boy and adopt him as part of their clan. This is the beginning of many funny adventures as the dogs gather food and blankets to keep him warm.
"Runts" stars Disney Channel's Bobby West as 5 year old Jack Parker. Bobby is both adorable and funny in this flick. Jennifer Anton and William Gray play Jack's parents. The movie is ninety-nine minutes long and leaves you wanting more. Most of the filming was actually done in New York's Central Park. You will recognize many of the sights that have made New York famous.
If you're in the mood for a heart warming story, hurry out and see "Runts to the Rescue". "Runts" is "G" rated and is perfect for a night out with the whole family. Critics agree that this will be one of the top family movies of the year. "Runts" will be released in theaters in two weeks. I hope you enjoy this movie as much as I did. I give this movie five paws up!
